What’s going on in the Project?
Islamic Center has been hosting workshops for the members of their faith community, and reaching out and inviting other members of the Shoreline community. One event in January included skits by the children of the congregation.
About Islamic Center of Shoreline
One of the main teachings of Islam is to help people in need. We organize time by time collections of funds and food for those who are in need. We are doing that especially during our holy month of Ramadan. Our women prepare homemade food and bring it to the mosque, or we take that food and give to the people in need.
This project will help this community to enhance its faith formation, educational programs and work in the community a lot. This will be a best chance for our new community to strengthen and improve our faith formation, educational programs, and the work in the community we live in. We need this chance to, in some way, encourage ourselves to do more and to be more involved in the community works and projects with which we are surrounded.
