  • 1/2 bunch kale
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1 long red chilli, thinly sliced
  • 300g broccoli, cut into florets, halved
  • 1 bunch choy sum, leaves and stems separated, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons kecap manis

    Remove and discard stems from kale. Roughly chop leaves.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Add garlic and chilli. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until garlic is golden and crisp. Using a slotted spoon, transfer garlic to a plate lined with paper towel to drain.

    Increase heat to medium-high. Add broccoli and choy sum stems to wok. Stir-fry for 2 minutes or until bright green. Add kale and choy sum leaves. Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes or until leaves begin to wilt.
  • Step 4
    Transfer mixture to a serving dish. Drizzle over kecap manis and sprinkle with garlic mixture. Serve.
