  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 lemon grass stalk, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons peanut oil, extra
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/3 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 8 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • Sliced red chilli, to serve


  • Step 1
    Heat 1 tablespoon peanut oil in a wok over high heat. Add beef mince. Stir-fry for 5 minutes or until browned. Transfer to a bowl, draining excess fat. Add 2 teaspoons peanut oil to wok. Stir-fry lemongrass stalk and garlic cloves for 30 seconds. Return mince to wok with sweet chilli sauce, fish sauce and lime juice. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add red onion, coriander leaves, mint leaves and bean sprouts. Toss to combine.
  • Step 2
    Spoon into 8 iceberg lettuce leaves. Serve sprinkled with sliced red chilli.
