  • 4 cups (1 litre) Massel beef style liquid stock
  • 700ml tomato passata
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • salt and cracked black pepper
  • 375g veal tortellini (or beef tortellini)
  • Fresh basil, shredded, to serve
