Ingredients

  • 240g butter
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) golden syrup
  • 125g white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 6 (about 100g) McVitie�s Mark Chocolate Digestives
  • 6 (about 100g) McVitie�s Dark Chocolate Digestives
  • 125g milk chocolate, finely chopped
  • 125g dark chocolate, finely chopped

Method

  • Step 1
    Grease the base and sides of a 20 x 30cm loaf pan and line with baking paper, allowing the paper to overhang the two long sides.
  • Step 2
    Place 80g of the butter and 1 tablespoon of the golden syrup in a small microwave safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 20 seconds. Stir and repeat. Add the white chocolate and stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Coarsely chop 2 of the milk chocolate biscuits and 2 of the dark chocolate biscuits. Pour half of the white chocolate mixture over the base of the prepared pan. Sprinkle the chopped biscuit evenly over the surface. Pour over the remaining white chocolate mixture (this is to avoid the chocolate on the biscuit melting). Smooth the surface. Place in the fridge for 20 minutes or until set.
  • Step 3
    Repeat with half the remaining butter and golden syrup using the milk chocolate and half the remaining milk chocolate biscuits and dark chocolate biscuits, folding the biscuit into the chocolate mixture to combine. Spread evenly over the white chocolate layer. Place in the fridge for 20 minutes or until set. Repeat with the remaining butter and golden syrup using the dark chocolate and remaining biscuits. Spread evenly over the milk chocolate layer. Place in the fridge for 2 hours to set completely. Use the overhanging paper to lift the slice out of the pan. Invert onto a chopping board and cut into slices.
