simple way to prepare favorite Sweet potato gems

Hai, I hope you’re having an incredible day today. Today, we’re going to make a special dish, Sweet potato gems. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I am going to make it a little bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Sweet potato gems is one of the most favored of recent trending foods on earth. It is simple, it is quick, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions every day. They are fine and they look wonderful. Sweet potato gems is something that I’ve loved my entire life.

  • 1kg (about 3-4) sweet potato, halved lengthways
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 45g (1/4 cup) chickpea (besan) flour
  • Olive oil spray
  • Mint-garlic yoghurt, to serve (see note)


  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan forced. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Place sweet potato, cut side down, on 1 prepared tray. Bake for 40 minutes or until soft and tender. Set aside for 5 minutes to cool slightly.
  • Step 2
    Peel off skin from sweet potato and discard. Process sweet potato flesh and garlic in a food processor until smooth. Season well. Add flour and process briefly to combine. Transfer to a disposable piping bag or large resealable plastic bag.
  • Step 3
    Snip the tip of the piping bag or corner of bag to form a 2cm hole. Pipe sweet potato mixture onto remaining baking tray to form 4 x 2cm wide, 30cm long logs. Place in the freezer for 2 hours or until firm.
  • Step 4
    Meanwhile, for the coating combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Season.
  • Step 5
    Use a small sharp knife to cut sweet potato logs at 2cm intervals. Spray with oil to completely coat. Working in batches, toss in quinoa mixture to coat, and return to baking tray. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  • Step 6
    Serve hot sweet potato tots with mint-garlic yoghurt.
