  • 500g spaghetti
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed and halved
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper
  • Shaved parmesan, to serve


  • Step 1
    Cook spaghetti according to packet instructions. Blanch asparagus and peas in boiling water for 1 min, rinse in cold water and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Saute garlic and onion in a little olive oil on medium heat until translucent. Add vegetables and pan fry for 2 mins. Add cooked spaghetti, remaining olive oil and lemon juice and toss.
  • Step 3
    Garnish with parmesan and lemon zest.
