How are you today? , I hope you’re having an incredible day today. Today, we’re going to make a special dish, Tea eggs. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I am going to make it a little bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Tea eggs is one of the most favored of recent trending foods on earth. It is simple, it is quick, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions every day. They are fine and they look wonderful. Tea eggs is something that I’ve loved my entire life.

  • 8 eggs
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) dark soy sauce
  • 1 black tea bag
  • 3 whole star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick (see note)
  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 2 strips orange rind, white pith removed


  • Step 1
    Place the eggs in a medium saucepan. Cover with water. Slowly bring to a simmer over medium-low heat. Cook for 2 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a plate. Use tongs to hold each egg and gently tap on the benchtop to crack the shells all over. Reserve the water in a jug.
  • Step 2
    Return the eggs to the pan. Add the soy sauce, tea bag, star anise, cinnamon stick, peppercorns and orange rind. (If the liquid doesn’t cover the eggs, add some of the reserved water). Bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook for 2 hours, adding extra reserved water occasionally to just cover the eggs. Set aside to cool. Drain.
  • Step 3
    Peel the eggs and serve at room temperature.
